The Community You Will Join
You will be part of the People Analytics & Research team at Airbnb, a cross-functional group of Data Scientists, Analysts, and Researchers. This team supports Airbnb’s Employee Experience (EX) function by delivering high-quality, timely, and actionable HR data and insights to stakeholders across the organization.
The Difference You Will Make
As a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst, you will support Airbnb’s critical people analytics initiatives, such as:
- Quarterly reporting
- Dashboard development
- Ad hoc analytics and decision support
Your work will span across Talent, Legal, Diversity & Belonging, and other Employee Experience (EX) teams. You will help stakeholders access and interpret employee data to support better decision-making and shape the future of Airbnb's workplace.
A Typical Day
- Collaborate with EX teams (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Management, Recruiting, HRBPs) and IT to gather data requirements
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize HR metrics
- Design and support reporting in Workday Report Writer, ensuring accuracy and ease of use
- Conduct basic data analyses on hiring, headcount, attrition, and more
- Translate data into compelling stories and visuals for business partners
- Maintain data privacy, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Evaluate data access requests and collaborate with Legal to protect PII
- Promote data literacy across Employee Experience and the broader organization

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a data analytics or people analytics role
- Strong hands-on skills with SQL, Tableau, and Workday reporting tools
- Effective communication with diverse audiences
- Ability to handle sensitive employee data with confidentiality
- Capacity to prioritize and manage concurrent projects independently
- Adherence to hybrid work guidelines including workspace, internet, and security requirements
Your Expertise
Must-Have
- 5+ years in a data-focused or people analytics role
- Strong SQL skills and experience handling large datasets
- Expertise in Tableau (dashboard creation and report development)
- Experience with Workday Report Writer for employee data
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion, especially when working with sensitive data
Nice-to-Have
- Experience specifically in HR or People Analytics
- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
- Understanding of data privacy, legal reviews, or compliance in the HR context
- Background working in global, cross-functional organizations
